Born on February 1st,1947 in Grand-Bourg , Marie-Galante, she is the eldest of four children.
She was educated in Marie-Galante until College. From her A level in philosophy obtained in P-à-P to her retirement in 2010, as a Senior Hospital Executive in Marie-Galante, Jocelyne Coquin went to Cannes, Marseille and Paris where she worked from 1968 to 1982.
Personality engaged in the political and societal life of Marie-Galante, in particular with the Association "Giwof Mare" and the Soroptimist Club of Marie-Galante, she received several awards, including an honour by the Departmental Council for her involvement in the context of family policies and local social solidarity.
As an agricultural operator, se acts "when she can" for the preservation of the environment. "I am the mother of two daughters, one of whom has died, and grandmother. It is essential to transmit the best to our children and to ensure that we preserve our environment, our land, our heritage ".
